Shadow Play is a six-minute short film in the shape of a fairy tale, initially inspired by Italo Calvino's The Baron in the Trees. It began with Greta, a ten-year-old girl encountered through work, moving between characters, voices, and imagined realities. Shot in a greenscreen studio, the film shows a girl resting alone inside a weeping willow tree. Her solitude is interrupted by her own shadow, detached from her body and given an independent existence. What develops between the two figures moves through fear, curiosity, and mutual observation, never settling into fixed roles.
Shown at Bonds, Städelschule Absolventenausstellung 2026, Trianon Frankfurt, alongside a plaster sculpture imitating tree bark.
